1. About Taloven

Taloven is a UK recruitment technology platform. It gives candidates a free portfolio builder and connects them with recruiters through a deal-breaker-first matching system. Recruiters browse a pre-filtered pool of candidates and pay to unlock contact details for candidates they wish to approach.

Taloven is not a recruitment agency. We do not place candidates in jobs, negotiate salaries, or act on behalf of either party. We provide the technology for candidates and recruiters to connect with each other.

2. Who can use Taloven

You must be at least 18 years old to use Taloven. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older. We will close accounts where we discover a user is under 18 and delete all associated data.

Taloven is currently available to users based in the United Kingdom only.

You must be a human individual to create a personal account. Automated account creation is not permitted.

3. Your account

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and current information at signup and keep it up to date
• Keep your login credentials secure and not share access with anyone else
• Not create accounts on behalf of other people without their explicit consent
• Not use Taloven for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms
• Notify us immediately at support@taloven.uk if you become aware of unauthorised access to your account

4. Candidate accounts

Taloven is free for candidates. We will never charge candidates for any feature, now or in the future. This is a core principle of the platform.

As a candidate, you also agree that:

• The right-to-work information you provide is self-declared and you are responsible for its accuracy. Taloven does not independently verify right-to-work status and is not a government verification service.
• Recruiters cannot see your contact details, email address, or CV until you have accepted their shortlist and a match is confirmed.
• By publishing your portfolio, you are making it publicly accessible at your Taloven URL. You can unpublish or delete it at any time.
• You can delete your account at any time. Your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

5. Recruiter accounts

As a recruiter, you agree that:

• You will use a valid company email address. Personal email addresses (Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, Outlook.com, and similar) cannot be used for recruiter accounts.
• All job postings must be accurate, genuine, and include a salary range. Jobs posted without a salary will not be published.
• You will not use Taloven to post roles that do not exist, duplicate postings for the same role, or listings intended to collect candidate data without genuine recruitment intent.
• Payment to unlock a candidate pool is per role and non-refundable once you have viewed any candidate profiles within that pool.
• You must not attempt to contact candidates outside of Taloven before a match is confirmed.
• You are responsible for ensuring your use of Taloven complies with all applicable employment law, equality law, and data protection law.

6. Content you provide

You own the content you upload to Taloven, including your portfolio, CV, work history, and any other materials.

By publishing your portfolio, you grant Taloven a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your portfolio content at your shareable URL (taloven.uk/p/your-username) for as long as your portfolio remains published. You can revoke this by unpublishing or deleting your portfolio.

Before publishing, you must confirm that all content in your portfolio is yours to share - including text, images, case studies, and work samples. Do not include content that belongs to a former employer without checking your employment contract first.

You must not upload or publish content that:

• Infringes the copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights of any third party
• Contains personal data about other individuals without their consent
• Is false, misleading, or fraudulent
• Is defamatory, discriminatory, abusive, or harassing
• Violates any applicable law or regulation

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms without notice.

7. Acceptable use

When using Taloven, you must not:

• Scrape, crawl, copy, or systematically extract data from Taloven
• Attempt to access other users' accounts, portfolios, or data without authorisation
• Create fake candidate profiles or fake job postings
• Use the platform to send unsolicited commercial messages
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Taloven platform
• Circumvent any matching, filtering, or rate-limiting system
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit data obtained from Taloven
• Use automated tools to interact with the platform in a way that places undue load on our systems
• Impersonate any person, company, or entity

8. Intellectual property

The Taloven platform, including its design, code, branding, logo, and matching algorithm, is owned by Taloven and protected under UK intellectual property law.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without our written permission.

Your own content remains yours. We claim no ownership over your portfolio, CV, or any other content you upload.

9. Our liability

Taloven is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that:

• The platform will be available at all times or free from errors
• Every job posted on Taloven is genuine or that the company posting it is legitimate
• A match will result in employment
• Candidate information is accurate (right-to-work status is self-declared)

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Taloven's total liability to you in connection with these terms or your use of the platform is limited to £100.

We are not liable for any loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of business opportunity, loss of data, or any indirect, consequential, or special loss, whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such loss.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

10. Termination

You can close your account at any time from the settings page. Your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

We may suspend or close an account without notice if we believe it has violated these terms, is being used to harm other users, or if we are required to do so by law. Where legally permitted, we will tell you if we close your account and the reason.

On termination, all licences granted under these terms end immediately. Sections covering intellectual property, liability, and governing law survive termination.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Taloven after that date means you accept the updated terms.

If you do not agree to the updated terms, you can close your account before the change takes effect.

12. Governing law

These terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

You and Taloven agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim.
